As the pair tap into complementary needs that are powerful in them both, their relationship takes off in a new direction.
He'll call her ‘pup’. She'll know him only as E., her master. With the intention of turning her into an obedient little puppy, E starts pup on a meticulous training regimen. She's fitted with a puppy-mask, a tail, and various other accessories, then she's taught how to eat, drink, fetch just like her canine counterparts. Any disobedience is quickly reprimanded. In addition to her regular duties, pup is trained to for her sexual role. Soon, pleasuring her master becomes her sole pursuit and one she dearly loves.
However, when E. takes her to a club where they mingle with other human pets and their owners, pup’s life takes another unexpected turn. She frolics with boy-puppies, is exhibited to strangers, and is given away to other party guests. Though embarrassed to be exposed in public, pup dutifully follows her master's orders. In time, she becomes the center of attention at a large party of kinky players. Her obedience to E. is unquestioned. But when she has a run-in with a pair of unpleasant guests, it's a signal of another shift in her evolving puppy life. With her training now complete, E announces that she'll have a new role with a new master for the next six months, and so her puppy adventures will continue.
Puppy play becomes a real time lifestyle for these kinky bdsm players, and a fascinating reading for fans of this unique fetish.

The description on the back cover and on the web is a very accurate summary of the book and there isn't really any need to describe the story further: Instead, I will discuss the tone of the book which is what left me wanting.
Annoying from the outset are the missing names: Throughout the book, the trainer is known only as “E” and the she-puppy only as “pup.” While the author my find this cute and mysterious I found it really annoying. Puppy play is fun but if I didn't want a real-girl playing a puppy I would get a dog. Dehumanizing her by not giving her a name is lame. And what's up with the trainer not having a name - Not really mysterious. Maybe he was too lazy to come up with one?
The second thing I didn't like about this book is the same complaint I have about the Story of O. While pup is totally in love with E and will do anything to make him happy, E really has no interest in pup except for the thrill of training her. This one-sided love really turns me off: I really want love and romance in my erotica. In the end, E sends pup away - Which I found heart-breaking.
The author would like me to believe that pup has grown and is looking for a further challenge but I think she clearly shows that she is desperately searching for love and acceptance - whether debasing herself as a she-dog, giving herself sexually to anyone or moving on to another man hoping he will want her.
There were several scenes of animal play I really enjoyed, especially the scenes where pup played with other male-puppies or the female-kitten. There is an abundance of sex scenes, spanking scenes and anal-sex scenes that makes this book some what titillating. I also enjoyed her acts of servitude when she's made to play fetch, eat table scraps from the floor and sleeps in the doggy-bed.
But the constant loaning out of pup to other people really turned me off: Even though the author tries hard to make it seem like she enjoyed it. Clearly pup did not enjoy being separated from E and did it only to please him: Something that he really wasn't interested in the end.
The third thing I didn't like about this book were the numerous errors - I'm not sure who to blame, the editor, publisher, or proofreader - Get it together people!!!
- Page 69 - “'E' drives her across ton” - “drives her across town”
- Page 90 - After the rigorous sex scene, pup takes a shower to clean off before going to bed. But in the morning she takes another shower to clean off the mess from the prior night's sex - This is poor editing.
- Page 114 - Clare knees him in the balls, and “The man staggers away with an oath...” - Clearly that is wrong. They should have simply said “gasping in pain.”
This is an okay book for people interested in fantasy puppy-play but not a very exciting or noteworthy book.
