Chapters on anticipation, bondage, toys, and more are juxtaposed with anecdotes from the author's adventures. You Know You Love It is a book about pushing sexual boundaries-- which are often self-imposed --and opening the doors to bliss.

About the Author Dominatrix ILONA PARIS holds a master’s degree in counseling psychology. She has a private counseling practice outside Boston, and has served as a specialist in substance abuse and trauma for the city. A guest on various radio programs and panels, she frequently surprises audiences with her intelligence and wit.

I was very disappointed by this book. Not because it wasn't funny or clearly written but because it doesn't deliver on its promise. This book is an autobiography not a lesson book. The author's ego got in the way and the book lost direction. There's very little information to be taken from this book in terms of improving one's sex life.

When I pick up a book, written by a dominatrix about lessons in sexual mischief, I expect to hear first hand stories about domination sessions with insight on what works and doesn't work. I expect good advice for making my sexual life better. I don't expect egocentric stories about her affairs with radio personalities and how difficult it was not to have sex with her clients. And gushing about her trip the the Caribbean where she saw Dita Von Tease perform adds nothing to the book.

There is little good information in this book. For example, she dedicates a section of the book to anal sex but the lack of information is astounding. Here I was especially disappointed by her lack of knowledge and description. She describes clearly how she felt about the experience and how her fears were overcome and she's very happy to announce how much she enjoys anal sex now. But the story is almost totally void of any useable information: Except to use lube and a condom which I've already read a dozen times in every Penthouse and Playboy column since I was 12. Is stretching important? Should I use an enema first? Is it dangerous to use a soda bottle or a duster handle? What about dildos and vibrators - Should I start with them? Did you ever use them on a client?

My final rant about this book will be to complain about the layout. Like a bad MTV video the text is frequently interrupted. The regular text is divided by boxes that give sidebars and pictures which make the book hard to read. Sometimes you have to skip several pages to finish reading a sentence. Breaking up the rhythm like this is really annoying. The pictures and sidebars don't add that much anyway.

Bottom line - Skip this book.
