Don't be mislead, this is just a tiny little reference book NOT a full instructional manual. This tiny 3 inch by 4 inch book is only a quarter of an inch thick and each page only has a few sentences about a specific topic. Each page gives a little hint about some aspect of S&M. Like for instance hint 49: “Start out with a small paddle or riding crop which is easy to guide...” This is not a serious reference or instructional guide.

That being said, it is an adorable and fun little book.

This little book is the perfect gift (stocking stuffer) to give a lover with whom you want to start getting kinky. Its purple cover and bright colorful pages will make you both giggle as you read through it. The subjects are presented with such humor that it's easy to laugh and be relaxed as you discuss taboo subjects like spankings and nipple clamps.

This is not an instructional manual but a cute book to introduce you to the terms, give you some ideas and hints and get you talking. The most important thing about BDSM isn't the toys or the wardrobe but the ability to communicate your wants and needs. The players need to express what turns them on, what turns them off and where their limits are.

This book provides a safe starting point to discuss topics maybe they've been afraid to bring up. It might help a couple through that invisible wall and move to the next level - Which makes it worth buying. If BDSM is new to your relationship, but you want to let your partner know you're ready to go there, buy this book. For more experienced BDSM players this is only good for a chuckle.
